100-120 kV Transmission electron microscopes | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| These instruments are mainly used for biological
and medical research on specimen mainly consisting of light elements with
poor absorption of electrons. They are characterized by giving high contrast
and being easy to use in a multioperator environment.
In addition to the standard fluorescent viewing screen with its optical microscope and the standard sheet film camera, they are often equipped with additional digital cameras for both viewing, education and image recording. The pumping system is designed to give a clean environment and is optimized for using cryo transfer holders. The small footprint of these systems makes it easy to fit them into a tight laboratory environment. A range of different polepieces allows the user to choose a configuration optimized for resolution, tilt, contrast or X-ray analysis. The specifications given here are for instruments optimized for resolution.
